We are hiring for an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer to support growth across the entire portfolio.

About the Role

The position of Mechanical Engineer at Integer will be responsible for the design, development, and successful integration of all mechanical systems, into a wide array of vehicle types (land, sea, air, and space) to efficiently meet the end user’s requirements and objectives. Duties include:

  • Identify deficiencies in existing mechanical processes, initiate new processes, and optimize performance.

  • Manage mechanical process development while maintaining configuration control.

  • Identify additional team resources needed (full / part time, consultants, and advisors) to ensure compliance of mechanical system development, ensuring schedules are met

  • Design and development of prototypes, and system maturity up to TRL-7

  • Analyzing and testing mechanical / electrical assemblies over temperature, pressure, flow, vibration, and other environmental conditions related to mechanical systems

  • External test lab support, and preparation of test methods IAW with standards as applicable to shipboard, aerospace, and commercial environments

  • Development, management and maintenance of computer-aided design (CAD) project drawings using software packages that meet industry exchange standards

  • Prepare, release, and review, of drawings, and documentation (detail drawings, assembly drawings, mechanical ICDs, parts list, etc…)

  • Able to support proposal activities as it relates to mechanical assemblies. Design to unit cost (DTUC).

  • Analysis of thermal paths, heat dissipation, fluid flow, structures, cabinet designs (lab test cabinets, and cabinetry used in shipboard, and aerospace assemblies / environments).

  • Must be familiar with Software design tools and systems needed for detail analysis of thermal modeling, dynamics, structure borne noise, airborne noise, and other mechanical software modeling tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical discipline.

  • Demonstrated mastery of at least one computer-aided design (CAD) environment.

  • U.S. citizenship. Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance that requires U.S. citizenship. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of applicable experience.

  • Experience as a design engineer, with solid mechanical engineering and good electrical understanding.

  • Experience designing cabinets and their parts for electrical or industrial controls systems.

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. python, C++, Java).
